If you share a prayer request without signing in, the app creates a guest session: a random identifier stored on your device and on our servers. It isn't linked to your name, email, or phone number. Guest requests are always shown as "Anonymous." If you later create an account on the same device, your guest requests move to your new account.
Prayer requests may reveal sensitive information, such as your religious beliefs, health, or family situation. You decide what to include, and it will be visible to other users. Please don't share details that identify other people without their permission.
When the app connects to our servers, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information, such as your IP address, the type of device and app version, and the time of the request. It's used to keep the service secure and working, and is kept only for a short period. The app also stores your sign-in session on your device so you stay signed in.
The app does not collect your location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifier, and it does not include third-party analytics or advertising tools.
If you're in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on these legal bases: performing our agreement with you (providing the app), your consent (for the content you choose to publish, which you can withdraw by deleting it), and our legitimate interests (security, moderation, and preventing abuse).

We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it with advertisers. We use a small number of service providers who process information only on our behalf:

Depending on where you live, including California, the EEA, and the UK, you may have additional rights, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or export your information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email us. We won't treat you differently for making a request. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Information is encrypted in transit between the app and our servers. Passwords are hashed, and database rules limit each person to the information they're allowed to see or change. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you if a breach affects you, as required by law.
Praying Hands is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account or shared information, email us and we'll delete it.
We're based in the United States, and your information may be stored and processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the effective date above and let you know in the app before the changes take effect.
